An after-dark walk to hear about the unsettled souls said to inhabit the famous Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Hear the story of a haunted hotel, a mysterious figure that appears above a restaurant and the sorrowful cries from the Common – all united in grief and loss. There will also be some insights into the oft-forgotten past of The Pantiles.

The walk will last approximately one hour and is mostly on the level, although there are some steps up and down (about 20 in total).

The Lee Enfield rifle was woven into the lives of two generations of our ancestors. With 17 million of them produced it was the weapon the British Army took to war in 1914 and 1939.

The Spa Valley Railway Real Ale and Cider Festival returns in 2026.

In 2025 a whopping 220 Real Ales, 32 of which are Kent Green Hop, 72 Ciders, 14 Keg Beers, made up the festival with discounts available for CAMRA members.

Entry to the festival is free and the railway hopes people will not only buy beer but purchase train tickets too as all profits from this event will go towards replacing an old Victorian bridge on its line which is in urgent need of replacement at a cost of over £400,000.
