Decimus Burton was the young architect who, in the late 1820s planned and realised a 56 acre residential and retail estate at the to of Mount Pleasant to rival the delights being enjoyed down the hill in the famous Pantiles. This walking tour will look at the surviving parts of his masterplan as well as taking in other sights along the way.
This is a level, step free walking tour lasting approximately 90 minutes, starting and finishing at Trinity Theatre, Church Rd.

Decimus Burton was the young architect who, in the late 1820s planned and realised a 56 acre residential and retail estate at the to of Mount Pleasant to rival the delights being enjoyed down the hill in the famous Pantiles. This walking tour will look at the surviving parts of his masterplan as well as taking in other sights along the way.
This is a level, step free walking tour lasting approximately 90 minutes, starting and finishing at Trinity Theatre, Church Rd.
