During the event, Sita and Natalie will share their creative journey to When Shadows Fall by unveiling and unpacking a Raven Treasure Box. This brand-new artwork by Natalie Sirett, is a box with hidden layers and drawers that contain inspirational objects, drawings and prose from the book.
As well as sharing in the writer’s and artist’s collaborative process, the audience will be invited to make poems and drawings of their own. This is a truly special and rate insight into the collaborative and creative process of author and writer.

Sarfraz Manzoor grew up in a working-class Pakistani Muslim family in Luton. In his first book Greetings from Bury Park he described his teenage years and how the music of Springsteen changed his life.

The book was adapted into the hit movie Blinded by the Light which can be seen at 5.30 pm prior to this talk.
Manzoor’s new book THEY continues the story he told in his memoir while also widening his focus to look at the roots of the division between Muslims and non-Muslims.
This combined event is a unique opportunity to meet the person behind the film and his new book. This will be a fascinating conversation hosted by Trinity Director Sean Turner.
